One of my favorite blogs (Polka Dots and Protein Bars) has a post that she calls "True Story Tuesday". Her stories always make me laugh, so I thought Tuesday would be an appropriate day to share the following story. I told this story to Heather just the other day, and she suggested I share it on my blog.
Michael and I honeymooned in St. Lucia. We were unable to find a direct flight, so we ended up having lay overs in several different airports. I found myself especially bored in the Miami airport, so I decided to browse the magazine kiosk.
Being a huge fan of The Girls Next Door, I immediately spotted the Playboy that had the girls on the cover. I had to have that Playboy, so I did what any other wife would do. I headed back over to Michael, and I begged him to buy me a Play Boy. You would think this would be any man's dream come true. I mean seriously, how many men have a wife (a new wife at that) that wants them to buy a Playboy? However, he refused. He absolutely would not buy the magazine.
Frustrated at Michael and determined to get the magazine, I marched back over to the kiosk and bought the Playboy. Of course, I also purchased gum and about 5 other magazines to disguise my unusual purchase. (It reminded me of the first time I ever had to buy feminine products. I hid as far down as I could in the shopping cart.) I thought about telling the cashier (in a loud voice) that it was for my husband and pointing him out for retaliation purposes, but I decided to be nice.
I couldn't wait to read all about Holly, Kendra, and Bridget, so as soon as we boarded the plane I hid my copy of Playboy in one of my other magazines and read all about The Girls Next Door. I guess that I prove there are really some people who purchase Playboy for the articles, and I probably hold some sort of world record for being the only woman to buy a Playboy on her honeymoon.

Monday Edition: My Favorite Things
Hello to all my wonderful blog friends! I want to begin my Monday by apologizing for my absence most of last week. I had a very busy week that included a lot of travel and a lot of time without my computer! I am hoping to catch up on all your wonderful blogs this week!
With that being said, I want to introduce you to my newest friend in the fight against aging-The Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator. I have very dry skin, and I have recently been having issues with my complexion being very lack luster. Two weeks ago, I purchased the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Kit, and it has proven to be amazing!
Here's the description of the product from Neutrogena:
For softer, more luminous skin today and firmer, younger-looking skin tomorrow, Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator™ Kit delivers noticeable results every time you use it.
Even more effective than professional microdermabrasion, Healthy Skin Rejuvenator is a simple, convenient at-home system that features single-use puffs and the Neutrogena microdermabrasion applicator. Each puff is pre-dosed with ultra-fine crystals and mild purifiers for the perfect degree of gentle exfoliation. What's more, the massaging micro-vibrations boost microcirculation and oxygenation for increased radiance, while surface stimulation increases cell turnover. Rejuvenating Puffs available.
This product retails for just under $40. If you are a frequent shopper of CVS, you can receive up to $10 in Extra Care Bucks for purchasing Neutrogena products this week. See CVS sale paper for details.

Monday Edition: My Favorite Things
I have vivid memories from childhood of playing in my Nanny's jewelry box. Her jewelry box contained all kind of treasures from beautiful necklaces to exquisite rings. She also had several ornate and beautiful compacts that held solid perfume. She probably still has her collection of solid perfumes, but I haven't played in her jewelry box in a really long time.
On a recent trip to the local organic grocery store, I renewed my love of solid perfumes. There I found a collection of solid perfumes that made me fall in love all over again. The perfume is from Pacifica. I chose the gardenia scent which is not pictured here. I love keeping this tiny tin of perfume in my purse. It is a great way to freshen up my scent through out the day.
In my search for solid perfumes, I also came across this perfume from Victoria's Secret. Not only does it smell great, but it comes in a precious flower ring!
Solid perfumes are usually rather inexpensive, and they are so much fun! The next time you are in the market to try a new scent definitely check out a cute solid perfume!

Take Me Out to The Ball Game
As I mentioned yesterday, Michael and I (along with our friends, Katie and Keller) went to the Braves game. The funny thing is that we almost didn't go because when looking at the seating guide at Turner Field it looked like we had really bad seats. When we arrived we realized we actually had really good seats-club level seats.
We had such a great time at the game. Foul balls frequented our area. Everyone stood to try to catch them. I, on the other hand, ducked and screamed. No thank you! I have no desire to be near a ball traveling that fast. Needless to say, I did not catch a foul ball. However, our friend, Keller, caught a foul ball, and I had my picture made with it.
Doesn't it totally look like I caught it? Well, maybe not. I am just relieved it didn't hit me in the head. Oh, and please ignore my frosty beverage in the picture. In all the excitement, I forgot to put it down for the picture-not a real classy move on my part.

Happy Birthday Big Sister!
God blessed me with two sisters! The older I get the more I realize how lucky I am to have sisters to talk to, giggle with, and lean on. I am so grateful for the bond and friendship that I have with my two sisters! They are two of my very best friends!
Today is my oldest sister's (Denise) birthday! To celebrate her birthday, I was going to scan in some old, goofy pictures of her and post them on my blog. However, I think she might get mad at me if I did do that, so I decided against it. My other sister, Kelly, is going to be very disappointed. Sorry Kelly!
Instead of embarrassing photos, I will share a funny story instead. This story takes place when Denise was in her first or second year of college. She was taking some sort of religion or history course, and while studying she had fallen asleep on the couch. I wanted to borrow a shirt from her, so I woke her up and asked, "Denise, can I borrow your blue shirt for school tomorrow?". Her answer, "Everyone has their own holy place." What? So I ask again, "Denise, can I borrow your shirt?" At this point, Denise launches into a full out discussion about different religions and their beliefs and meeting places. I and my other family members that happened to be in the living room at the same time finally realized that Denise was still asleep and we burst out laughing. The laughing woke her from her sleep. She let me borrow her shirt, and I learned a little bit about a few different religions!
Happy Birthday Denise! Thank you for being my sister and my friend! I hope you have a birthday that is as wonderful as you are!

Weekend In Review
I had such a fun and event filled Easter weekend. I want to tell you all about it. However, I am afraid I would bore the stuffing out of you if I did, so I will try to keep it short and fun (like me)! :)
First I just have to say that my husband is so wonderful and so sweet. He surprised me with an Easter basket since I was not going to be able to visit my parents for Easter. He included all the necessities for the perfect Easter basket-even a cute little stuffed duck. I was so surprised that I couldn't help but cry. Here's a picture of my Easter basket!
On Saturday we attended a party hosted by Terrapin Brewery to celebrate their seventh anniversary. The Terrapin Brewery is located in Athens. The day was filled with brewery tours, live music, and beer tasting. I am not a big beer fan, but I have to admit their Golden Ale is pretty yummy! We had so much fun hanging out with our friends and enjoying the beautiful weather. Here's a picture of Michael and I enjoying the festivities.
On Sunday, we went to church (the 8:30 service). The service and the sermon was wonderful. We followed church with brunch at the in-laws. Michael's mom made us eggs benedict. It was absolutely delicious!
Sunday afternoon our neighbor hosted a neighborhood BBQ. We attended for a little while, but we had to cut our visit short because we were off to visit my sister, Kelly, and her family. At Kelly's house, we enjoyed hunting eggs with my niece and nephew. After the egg hunt, Michael and I played with the kids-jumping on the trampoline, playing on the playground, and riding scooters and skateboards. I have a very funny picture of Michael riding a scooter, but I promised him I would not post it on my blog or facebook. Maybe I can sneak it on here in a few weeks when he forgets about it! :)
Well, I have to run for now. I was given 4 tickets to the Braves game tonight, so Michael and I along with two of our friends are headed to Atlanta. I'm crossing my fingers that we won't get rained out! I'll be back tomorrow to share with you my favorite things and maybe even a few highlights from the Braves game!

Happy Birthday to my First Blog Friend!
Tara at The Watermelon Tree was my very first blog friend. She is just the sweetest, and I am so happy that she helped welcome me into the world of blogging! Today is her birthday, and I just wanted to wish her a very happy birthday!
I also wanted to take an opportunity to spread the word about her flip flop swap! To celebrate her 100th post she is hosting a flip flop swap. Check it out here! Make sure to sign up for the swap! Maybe we can be swap partners!

Tagged!
I was tagged by Running in High Heels for Keepin' It Real. Here are the rules:
Take a picture of yourself RIGHT now.
I tag: The Watermelon Tree, Good Gal Inc, A Sassy Engineer, and Lipgloss Lounge. -And if you want to play but didn't get tagged, I tag you too!
Take a picture of yourself RIGHT now.
No primping or preparing.
Just snap a picture.
Load the picture onto your blog.
Tag some people to play.
This picture was taken at about 4:30 pm on Thursday afternoon. You can't tell what I am wearing because I have on a light weight black jacket that I wear around the office because my office is freezing! (However, I am wearing a really cute ruffled collar shirt in black. It's my new favorite!) I did put on make-up this morning, but you can't really tell. It all disappeared during the course of the work day! In the background of the picture (I'm sitting at my desk), you can see my favorite purse and my bulletin board and of course a boring old bookshelf.

The Ingredients for A Perfect Easter Basket
My Mom-umm I mean the Easter Bunny always brought us the most wonderful Easter baskets on Easter morning. Even as an adult, I still look forward to the Easter Bunny coming to visit me! Growing up, many of my friends did not receive Easter baskets. Instead they received Easter gifts like new toys, bikes, or even new Spring outfits. The thought of an Easter gift is nice, but I would never trade an Easter gift for the wonderful tradition of my Easter basket!
What makes up the perfect Easter basket? Funny you should ask! I outlined the makings of a perfect Easter basket for Michael just last night. I am not sure the Easter Bunny was as kind to him as a child as he was to me! :)
*Of course you have to have a basket. My Mom let us pick out a basket when we were little, and we used that same basket year after year. We would always set it out the night before for the Easter Bunny to leave goodies in!
*You have to have that ugly green grass that gets everywhere and constantly falls out of your basket during an egg hunt!
*An Easter related stuffed animal is a must-a cute bunny, lamb, or chick-maybe even as Easter pig!
*You also need a chocolate bunny!
*At least two Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. My personal favorite!
*Don't forget the Cadbury Creme Eggs! A minimum of two is required!
*Add Robin's Eggs to your list!
*You also have to have Peeps whether you like them or not!
*A random assortment of jelly beans.
*Finish your basket off with a few of your recipients favorite things like a lip gloss, pencils, and erasers or toy cars and Spiderman stickers or airplane bottle of liquor (for the adults only).
*You can also add a Happy Easter note signed by the Easter Bunny (complete with paw print). My mother was excellent at drawing the Easter Bunny's paw print-I mean capturing the Easter Bunny's paw print as he hopped away!
Just in case I don't get to blog before Easter, I hope all of you have a very Happy Easter! I also hope that the Easter Bunny is extra good to you!

Monday Edition-My Favorite Things
Happy Monday Everyone! Just like every Monday this one came a little too soon! I had a wonderful weekend. It was nice, quiet, and relaxing. My favorite part of the weekend was attending the UGA baseball game with Michael and a couple of our friends. After the game, we had a delicious dinner at one of my favorite places, Amicis! They have the best pizza and fried artichoke hearts! I guess that is really all to report on my weekend, so on to my favorite things!
For my favorite things today, I thought I would compile all the great coupon sites that were suggested during my "Cutting Corners" post/give away. I have been using so many coupons lately! Just last week I saved $29 on my grocery bill! I get most of my coupons from the Sunday paper, but here are some great sites to check!

Zoo Babies
I have always been a sucker for animals, so it is no surprise that I just had to share this with you today! I found the cutest slide show of baby animals recently born in zoos around the world. Precious! Check it out here.
Here's one of the images you'll see. This is not the cutest one, not even close, but I had to include it. I can totally sympathize with that mother hippo! Some days I feel like I look just like here! :)
