Last weekend it snowed. This weekend we had perfect Spring weather. It was amazing! I spent as much time outdoors as possible. I also spent a little time getting our deck ready for Spring. Last Spring we didn't do much with our deck, but this Spring and Summer I want to take full advantage of it. I am currently shopping for deck furniture. I never knew deck furniture was so expensive! Michael and I narrowed it down to two choices, but we are having a hard time deciding. I will try to find pictures so maybe y'all can help us decide.
Today for my favorite things, I thought I would use some of the money saving tips that y'all provided on my "Cutting Corners Give Away". Many of us have traded in our department store make-up for drug store make-up in an effort to save money. The hard part about switching make-up is finding a new make-up that you love as much as your old brand. Here are a few of the favorites suggested by fellow bloggers:

I think because I worked for Clinique & Estee Lauder I've become so addicted to makeup that it's my one splurge product. I'm a Sephora junkie, I'll admit it. Although, I just bought that CG Lash Blast mascara & really like it so far....
I am loving the new Stiletto Lash mascara by Maybelline (i think it is Maybelline)!
What to know how I make decisions like that? I flip a coin! Really, I do. :) As for the make-up, as a Mary Kay consultant, I get my makeup at cost!
I really like L'oreal Volumnous mascara. I swear by this stuff! I recently bought Neutrogena foundation and concealor and my face had never been more clear!!!
Oooo I may need to try the Maybeline Mineral Make-up!
This is a great list! Thanks for posting. I'll have to try 1 or 2 of the suggestions.
I like Maybelline's mascara too. It's like $6 a tube... soft and something, it's in a blue tube. I use it even when we're not in a recession. Especially since you're supposed to trade out your mascara frequently. Then I don't feel like I'm throwing away money. I like Burt's Bees products too.
I needed this, bad!
The one thing I don't suggest is Almay mascara. It gives you racoon eyes!
Yeah I've been going pretty cheapo with makeup myself. Covergirl foundation and powder.:) I've been wanting to switch for a while, I keep wanting to try Bare minerals, but I haven't made the jump! Good for you to get your foundation brand new on ebay!
hey I left you an award!!!
I use L'Oreal Bare Natural Mineral Powder foundation & LOVE it!! Best make-up I've ever used! It's @ $10 but it has lasted me forever and it's better than the Estee Lauder ($40) I use to use. :)
I still use some Lancome products and some from Sephora. But, my all time favorites are eye shadows from Ulta (I always get many compliments) and they always have a 20% off coupon plus you earn points to get free products by using your Ulta Card. I love their eyeliners too. But you get so many freebies with Lancome it is hard to resist!
