A Sneak Peek

Wow! This week has really flown by! I have been busy preparing for my Mardi Gras themed birthday party! I have had so much fun decorating, but in the process I have made a huge mess of my house. My plans for tonight-clean the house like a mad woman! I thought I would share a few photos of the decorations so far!

The two photos below are poor quality shots of my mantle. I decorated the mantle with two arrangements made up of hurricane vases, colorful tinsel, masks, and beads. I also draped the mantle with two feather boas and a lot of Mardi Gras beads.

Here are a few close-up shots of the arrangements on the mantle.

I made arrangements for my side tables that are on either side of my couch. These arrangements are simpler because guests are welcome to grab the "party favors" that I used to create them. This is the first arrangement.

The second arrangement.

I decorated my nesting table with votive candles. I am using a lot of candles to set the scene for the party. Below are a few photos of the nesting table. It is simple, but I think it's cute!

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek of my party decorations! I will be back on Monday with pictures from the party! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Looks great!!!
Mr. Julep and I had a joint Mardi Gras for his 40th and my 26th - it was awesome! We ordered loads of stuff from Oriental Trading Company for it - so if you're short on beads, hats or anything cheesy like that, get it there - super cheap!

Wow, what a cool idea for a party. I was in Pier One Imports the other day and found the coolest and fanciest Mardi Gras Mask with a stick on it and big feathers and rhinestones. They come in purple and royal blue and cost from $50-65.00 but it is well worth it. You should get one for yourself. I am going to get me one just to have it for fun!!!
